Surfing Hippos

Watch hippos wade into Atlantic surf - a sight found nowhere else on earth. These coastal hippos have adapted to the ocean environment in a unique evolutionary phenomenon.

Whale Watching

Humpback whales migrate to Gabon's warm waters from July to September to calve. Watch mothers and calves from the beach or by boat - an increasingly popular sustainable attraction.

Sea Turtle Nesting

From November to March, leatherback and olive ridley turtles nest on Loango's beaches - night patrol walks to observe nesting mothers is a conservation highlight.

Loango National Park

Loango is Gabon’s flagship wildlife destination where rainforest, lagoon, and Atlantic beaches create a rare safari profile.

Beyond wildlife, Loango offers world-class sport fishing for giant tarpon, kayaking through mangrove lagoons, and some of Africa's most remote and beautiful beaches. Gorilla habituation experiences are being developed in partnership with primatologists, offering a unique chance to be part of the habituation process itself.
