Summit Climb

Five to nine day treks via seven different routes - from the popular Marangu route to the scenic Lemosho route. Each offers distinct ecosystems: rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and glacial summit.

Five Climate Zones

Trek through lush montane forest with blue monkeys, giant heathers and lobelias on the moorland, the surreal lunar landscape of the alpine desert, and finally the glaciers of Uhuru Peak.

Amboseli Safaris

Kenya's Amboseli National Park, at Kilimanjaro's base, offers the iconic photograph - elephants crossing the savanna with the snow-capped mountain towering behind them.

Mount Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro anchors Tanzania’s global adventure profile with high-value trekking, strong guide economies, and one of Africa’s most iconic summit experiences.

The predawn summit push is the ultimate test - headlamps bobbing across the scree slope as you climb through sub-zero temperatures toward Uhuru Peak. Reaching the summit at sunrise - watching the shadow of Africa's highest point cast across the clouds - is a moment of pure, earned triumph. The surrounding West Kilimanjaro conservancies offer elephant-rich safari experiences as the perfect warm-down.

Best Time to Climb

January-March and June-October offer the driest conditions and best summit visibility. July-August is peak season. April-May rains make routes slippery and clouds obscure views.

Getting There

Fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) - direct flights from Amsterdam, Doha, Istanbul, and Nairobi. The town of Moshi is the main base, a 45-minute drive from the airport.

Where to Stay

Aishi Machame Hotel and Kibo Palace Hotel in Moshi. For post-climb luxury, Karen Blixen Coffee Garden or Arusha Coffee Lodge. Budget climbers: Moshi hostels from $15/night.
